Courier service to Northern Ireland

We are having a few problems with UPS delivery to Northern Ireland right now.

Once this is resolved and we find a more reliable courier service to NI, then we will update here.

This does NOT apply to other EU VAT regions, where the service is superb as usual.

Rim widths

These new 50mm and 60mm wider U-shaped rims we have may present some fitment issues for a small number of road and triathlon frames. The clearance between the chainstay and the rim may not be adequate to avoid contact between each other when ridden under load. No amount of carbon engineering can create something 100% "vertically compliant yet laterally stiff"......(click heading)

Zipp 303 Firecrest style rim unleashed

This is a new rim from one of our suppliers. They have recreated the 303 Firecrest shape 1:1 but have also increased stiffness and reliability. The material at the nipple holes is 3.5mm thick, where Zipp is only 2mm and is a source of pull-through and cracks. The leading edge is reinforced with a Vectran scrim, and the braking surface is ceramic coated. Altogether, a much improved design and much less cost.
